The Pathway of Joy blog began as reflection of personal experiences, thoughts, feelings and conversations during my mother's illness and the journey to peace after her death. Now it is just about the surprising and unexpected joys (and disapointments) that surround us while living on earth.

Moma Suzie
Today there is joy in my life because my Moma Suzie has come to visit for the weekend. God gave me two moms and both have loved me very much. Our Moma Suzie came in from Austin this afternon and spent the day with us at the waterpark. Tomorrow I am going to take her Green Mama's to look at plants and then we will go dress shopping. During the last 13 months she has been an incredible support. She came to Fort Worth and took care of our chilren so that we could be at the hospital. She sat and visited with my mom in the hospital, keeping her company when we needed to get away. Mama Suzie came to us during the time we were saying goodbye to our mom here. She sat with us in the waiting room and held our hands as we grieved. She is always ready to take care of us at moments notice. She is the best!

Many people don't have the privilege of a good relationship with their only Mom and you guys have been blessed with two incredible Moms! God's goodness is evident. I'm so glad you have this weekend together.
Love, Christie
