“Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.”- Psalm 90:2,4
I looked up the word "control" on a online bible concordance because I wanted to read where it says God is in control. Everyone always says that, and we sing about it in church, but the bible does not say "God is in control". It tells us numerous times to be self-controlled, control our tongues, the whole world is under the control of the evil one, and the mind controlled by the spirit is life and peace. I do not believe that God controlled the cirumstance of all that happened with my mom. I have control issues that I am constantly battling, I inheirted those from my mom! I believe and know that He gave my mom a grace and perseverence to endure all that was set in motion by the mistakes of men and a weakened earthly body. He knew the choices that we would make and what our future would hold as a family. Because I believe he established the universe just by his command (which may have taken a really long time in our minds), he continues to hold it all together by his word regardless of the circumstances I encounter. I read back over some of my initial emails that I sent out and was amazed they were so positive, I not ever really said "this looks really bad, she might not recover" but that was the reality. Well, we had a nice, light joyful rain this morning!
