Another Joyful January

Yes, it has been a very long time since I have even thought about blogging much less attempted. The last time I wrote, I mentioned that we had buried my Meme and I received her car on her birthday, 9-11-09. Four months later in January of 2010, Sister and I planned yet another funeral. This time for my mom's mother, Ella. Once again we had the opportunity to say goodbye, experience the mercy of hospice and honor one of the top 5 influential women in my family. I am now down to 2..(just sayin).

The rest of the year was pretty exciting but there were no more family funerals. My husband was off work for 2 months following (what I diagnosed as TIA) short term memory loss and surgery. He recovered completely and returned to work! It was a miracle amidst an incredibly stressful time! Thanks be to God.

Summer came, jrh and I swam and played, then school started again. I worried that 4th grade would be a difficult year for my boy with Asperger's. But there is joy in a terrific year with terrific teachers. My joy has abounded as he shares his thoughts and ideas of his complex and delightful brain. For example, jrh announced to me that "you can't be allergic to anything and be a taste tester".
